Wordless Wednesday is a daily
prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which
the main focus is a photograph or image.
When my dad was stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter
Eastwind in 1946-47, he took pictures of his shipmates during tours to
Thule, Greenland but didn’t provide names.
Maybe the family of these sailors will find my blog and share their
story.

I just clicked over and read your accounting, Skunk is just adorable too, even with such a name! I hope somebody from the family does respond and can share more photos or stories of such a grand experience!
ReplyDeleteIt would be amazing!
DeleteIt would be exciting to hear from the families of Daddy's shipmates! Daddy loved that time in his life.
ReplyDeleteYeah, so I wonder why he never dragged that scrapbook out and made us look at it and hear the stories.
DeleteHa! Skunk is such a cool name! I like the guy!
ReplyDeleteI get so frustrated with unidentified photos and then I realize I'm just as bad as they are. I actually came across a picture of one of my daughters the other day and I'm not even sure which one it is :-(
