The tombstone
of John Wesley Jollett and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Smith is the most elaborate
one in my family. It reflects their important
place in the community that admired them so much. This prominent tombstone is the first one
anyone notices upon entering the cemetery on the hill behind the Jollett United
Methodist Church in Jollett Hollow, Page County, Virginia.

That is quite elaborate. I've never seen one like that before.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. How great to know that your ancestors were so well known in the community.
ReplyDeleteThose Jollett cousins need to get out there and pressure wash that stone.
ReplyDeleteGlad he was so well thought of and a good man.
