I remember this simple decoration in the dining room:  a homemade candle and some live holly stuck into a piece of styrofoam.  The candle was made in a milk carton.

    1. That candle had a nice texture. Now I'm trying to remember how they were made. Was there ice involved? I bet YouTube has a video.

  2. Could my bangs get any shorter??! I see I am holding a bow, I understood the importance of good ribbon back then!

We are sweet together. Fun pictures!

    1. Your bangs could have been shorter if you had called Rusty over. I think this was Momma's work.

That was a good bow -- must have been professionally done.

  5. It is a great time of year to look back and remember: tinsel, candles, flowers and most of all the people we love[d].
