  1. We had dachshunds when I was a kid and we loved them. At one point we had two and named them scooter and skeeter. Fun memories. How do you have your photos organized? You have so many photos, it seems like it would be massive to go through them for each post, but you are amazing. They are always just right.

    1. Dachsunds have cute faces. Punky and Chunky were good dogs. One was the mother of the other, I believe.

My photos are lumped in with my genealogy folders. I have a main folder called Genealogy. (Aren't I clever?) Then there are subfolders by surname. Those folders contain photos as well as anything and everything on that family, including formal information like charts and documents, and informal correspondence with distant cousins. It's a bit of a mess, really, but I could take time to neaten it up with sub-subfolders, I suppose.

  2. My attention usually goes toward the dogs when there's a dog in a photo but in this circumstance, I'm looking at the clothes you and your cousin are wearing. They look so familiar. Must be the time period.

    1. I loved my little outfit -- it was one piece, pastel plaid.

  3. Wendy, I am amazed at the number of different dogs in your photos. I have lots of animal pictures but there are mostly a handful of dogs form our family that we photographed over and over. We have even more cat photos!

    1. Yeah, I'm amazed too. In fact, I don't think I ever paid much attention to the dogs in the pictures until I got started on this goofy series. I have only a few pictures of cats.

  5. Hi Wendy,
Ten years earlier and that could be a photo of my sister and I (my nickname is Bobbie!). Our dog Peggy didn't look a bit like Punky or maybe Chunky though :-)

  7. I always thought Punky and Chunky were husband and wife! hahaha! One of them had all those cute little pups. Scoop and Orvin Jr, kept two, Boy and Sally. I'll have to ask Bobb-o to clarify.
