Wordless Wednesday: Are You My Great-Grandmother?

Wordless Wednesday is a daily prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which the main focus is a photograph or image.

Possibly Mary Theresa Sheehan Killeen Walsh

Comparing this photo to known photos of Mary Theresa Sheehan Killeen Walsh, I wonder if I am looking at my great-grandmother as a young woman.

  2. What a lovely photograph of a beautiful young woman, perhaps in her early 20's. I love the outfit and the relaxed pose.

  3. I agree with Dana and Sally. She is lovely and her relaxed pose with a hint of a smile is quite different for the time period of photography where everyone looks like they are sitting or standing in front of a firing squad. I think there is a family resemblance...I hope she is your great-grandmother.

  8. My mother would have said you could say it is whomever you want to as no one would know the difference. She would just roll her eyes at me when I would reply "yeah, but I would know the difference." I hope she is your great grandmother - she is beautiful.
