Wordless Wednesday is a daily
prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which
the main focus is a photograph or image.
This photo of a German mine is one of many war time
photos among the effects left behind by my maternal grandmother’s brother Ray Rucker (1899-1927).
Yikes! A little scary looking.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Like Sally already said, that's pretty scary looking.
ReplyDeleteWow, very interesting, and I can only imagine the many stories connected to this! I also like the link to follow too!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like one of those new kind of smoker grills. Maybe Barry and Jason and get one!
ReplyDeleteLOL Mary...smoker grill...good one. Best of all this Wordless Wednesday was linked to Ray Rucker's Shoebox Memorial. How I missed that post, I don't know, but I'm glad I got to see and read about an amazing part of history from the view point of a man who's family honors and remembers him all these years later.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I like what Karen said about the stories it could tell...
