This photo of a German mine is one of many war time photos among the effects left behind by my maternal grandmother’s brother Ray Rucker (1899-1927).

  4. LOL Mary...smoker grill...good one. Best of all this Wordless Wednesday was linked to Ray Rucker's Shoebox Memorial. How I missed that post, I don't know, but I'm glad I got to see and read about an amazing part of history from the view point of a man who's family honors and remembers him all these years later.
