Wordless Wednesday is a daily
prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which
the main focus is a photograph or image.
Since summer will be officially over next week, it’s
appropriate to say farewell to my great-aunt Helen Killeen Parker’s friends who
have been the subject of many Wordless Wednesdays. What does anyone do when a party or vacation
or celebration is drawing to a close?
Take a group photo. That’s
probably what Helen and “the gang” did before everyone bid farewell to Ocean
View and headed home to resume their workaday lives.
They did seem to have such a wonderful summer. I'm sorry to see them go.
ReplyDeleteYeah, now I need to come up with something else! Too bad Helen didn't leave a bunch of hayrides and harvest photos.
DeleteHa...The Terrible Five. Interesting caption! Looks like a fun group in The Gang photo.
ReplyDeleteI wish Helen had shown me her album before she died so I could have gotten the back story on that.
DeleteI love the first caption! Too funny. :)
ReplyDeleteThey must have been a fun bunch!
DeleteWendy, somehow I missed the name Helen Killeen Parker until today. I do have a Helen Killeen in my database, but not with that married name. Funny how the eye gets arrested by name similarities after years of doing genealogy research...
ReplyDeleteI missed your old photos when I was gone...especially the beach ones. Good to be back...hope work doesn't bog me down.
ReplyDeleteHappy Wedensday!
Wish we knew where the house was located in the "O-V" I wonder if it was near where Edith and Millard had a place.
