My grandaunt Velma Davis’s husband Woody Woodring
standing outside my great-grandparents’ home on Sixth Street in Shenandoah,
Virginia. It was probably around 1930. The house on the right across the street
was built about that time by my great-grandfather and grandfather right after
my mother was born in 1929.

How good to have this with that house in the background!
ReplyDeleteIs the home still standing?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. In fact, it was for sale not long ago, and I "toured" the inside on Zillow. The house was empty. It looked to be in good shape, mostly original except for the kitchen which certainly was updated at some point.
