Wordless Wednesday: Oh Christmas Tree

Wordless Wednesday is a daily prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which the main focus is a photograph or image.

The sailors aboard the USCGC Eastwind had at least two Christmas trees in 1946.

  1. Wonderful photos. We do want to remember all our troops who serve us every day of the year.

  2. It's really true, how these little touches meant so much to these men, and women. My son-in-law while deployed to Iraq made his own little make shift tree last year. Now when he's home, he just adores the one my daughter creates....

  3. Aww! This is so great! And I appreciate Colleen's comment that we need to remember those in the military who serve us every day of the year. It must be extra difficult for them at the holidays.
