(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Sweet Baby

Wordless Wednesday is a daily prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which the main focus is a photograph or image.

Unidentified baby in album of Mary Frances Jollett Davis

This unidentified baby in the album of my great grandmother Mary Frances Jollett Davis might be little Josy who lived a short two years.  But I’m not sure.

Compare the photo to the baby in this one:

The hair is combed slightly differently.  The dress looks the same on top, but the hem looks scalloped unlike the straight edge in the previous photo.  Yet, both babies are barefoot.

What do you think?  Are they the same child?

  2. I think it could be. I have to laugh at the hair brush on the floor, it brings my mother to mind. She would have been so mad if a photographer did that to her.

  6. Aww, what sweet photos!

I'm not sure if they are the same baby or not. It's kind of hard to tell without being able to zoom in on each photo. I tried to look at the eyebrows and ears, but the different facial expressions, hairstyle and angles of the shots makes it a bit difficult to tell for sure.

    Cute photos though!
