Wordless Wednesday: Fun in the snow

Wordless Wednesday is a daily prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which the main focus is a photograph or image.

Friends of Lillie Killeen, December 1945
December 1945

Judging by the smirk on this woman’s face, she’s not overly scared of that rifle.  I don’t know who these people are – just friends of my great aunt Lillie Killeen.

  1. Ha! Ha! They look to be having great fun indeed- and it sure shows it's not always the gun but the person holding the gun whether to be scared or not....I wonder if they were married?!

    1. It does look like they're having fun. I'm guessing they're married - I've seen them in other photos too.

  2. Great picture - it's good to remind the younger generation that the older generations could have fun as well.

  4. I'm sure they were having fun but geez, having a gun pointed at me like that would still make me cringe.
