I might have mentioned this before but our last name can be spelled "on" or "en" which is the more common of the spelling. Over the years, hubby has found that relatives distinctly related to him, i.e. cousins, have changed the "on" to "en." We're thinking they just started doing that to make it easier rather than having to spell it every single time.
