I'm trying to research the Sampsons because there were a lot of cousins in West Virginia. Martha Jane and "Oat" lived in Oak Hill, WV. My mother referred to Drada as "Dradie Ann Joliet" and said she was French. That info doesn't seem to tally with what you have? I didn't run across Ol' Ran'l so I rather doubt it. It's so different from the "pretty girl" names of her sisters - Clarissa, Elizabeth, Melinda. "Drada" seems harsh by comparison, a name for an ugly stepsister in a fairy tale. There are so few records that show her name. I've "met" only 2 of her descendants and they know what I know.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17863357756727783017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7429612700924625855.post-75798668122463942172014-04-07T04:38:40.552-04:002014-04-07T04:38:40.552-04:00I like my F post.I like my F post.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17863357756727783017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7429612700924625855.post-51574504307457741202014-04-07T02:28:35.795-04:002014-04-07T02:28:35.795-04:00Wendy, I'm fascinated with that name: Drada.
