They were in this house in the 1920 census, so the house was at least 8 years old but as much as 17 (they were at a different address in 1910). According to family lore, he bought the house plans from the Sears catalog - it's a Sears Craftsman. <br /><br />The bush looks young in this picture -- not sure if this is early in the season when the leaves are first coming out or if it's just a young bush. It looks much fuller in some other pictures.
