I would be the the great-great-great granddaughter of James Thompson, great-great granddaughter of Susan Henryetta Thompson, an unwed mother with my great grandfather's father unknown, but rumored to have been a particular married fellow in the community. Quite the scandal for the times! I was born and raised in Virginia but have lived in Oklahoma for nearly 30 years. Seems my 6th Great Grandfather Napier was familiar with that county and may have owned land there. His father was a doctor and early Jamestown immigrant. WoooHoo...lots of good stories started and more to come. Enjoyed this post...sorry I've been absent from commenting....recovering from AtoZ and taking care of Family members. Missouri was a bounty land state, but I don't think the Baughers qualified since Jacob would have been too young to fight in the War of 1812. Maybe it was just the American Dream in action.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17863357756727783017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7429612700924625855.post-82828574595505947192014-06-02T07:15:19.102-04:002014-06-02T07:15:19.102-04:00A number of my lines have a child or two or more w...A number of my lines have a child or two or more who left Virginia and wound up in Missouri.
