Wordless Wednesday: A Boy and Baby

Wordless Wednesday is a daily prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which the main focus is a photograph or image.

Unidentified boy and baby in album of Mary Frances Jollett Davis, Page County, Virginia

This faded photo was among several pictures of children in the photo album belonging to my great grandmother Mary Frances Jollett Davis. As I’ve come to expect and accept, these children are not identified.  They must be relatives, but who?

  1. Cute kids. It's too bad their names will probably always be mysteries.

  2. Are you able to hazard a guess as to the date the photograph was taken? The baby is difficult to determine the sex as the clothes could be for a boy or a girl.

  3. Knowing how clever you are, they will soon be known! Adorable little ones.

    1. My sentence was jacked up. I was trying to say, the boy is Millard and I am guessing the baby is Granddaddy. If not Granddaddy who ever is next in line after Millard is the baby.

    2. How old does the older boy look? There was 5 years difference in Millard and Granddaddy.

    3. Then to me the baby is Granddaddy. His face looks like that other picture where he is in a dress and pouting.
