Wordless Wednesday: Three's a Crowd

Wordless Wednesday is a daily prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which the main focus is a photograph or image.

from Helen Killeen Parker

My great aunt Helen Killeen Parker must have been amused by this double-exposure because she gave it TWO captions:  Ghost and Three’s a crowd.

  1. So neat that she kept the picture and recognized the uniqueness of it. Most would think it a big mistake and toss it. I miss film sometimes, with it's happy accidents like double exposures, but I'm soooo glad to have a digital camera. I keep a happy accident photo file...it's fun to mess around with digital, too...and cheaper!

Wow...I sure had a lot of words to say about your Wordless Wednesday. Guess I've over exposed myself....there's more on my newest post...here's the link...

  3. Oh, what a fun. A double exposure is almost like getting two photos for one (although neither is really clear).

Tattered and Lost Vernacular Photography did a series on double exposures. See http://tatteredandlostphotographs.blogspot.com/search/label/double%20exposure. In one of the posts she asked others to submit links to some of their posts on double exposures. I don't know if she's still accepting posts or not.

    1. Thanks Nancy. I'll look into that. I have photos of my sister's college graduation double-exposed. She appears to be graduating in a dog kennel. LOL!

    1. Sometimes I wish she had been less humorous and more particular about identifying people!
