Wordless Wednesday: At the wheel

Wordless Wednesday is a daily prompt at Geneabloggers that asks family historians to create a post in which the main focus is a photograph or image.

My uncle Orvin Davis, Jr. loved to drive, even at age 3, it seems.

  1. Nothing negative about your Uncle Orvin but the car is a beauty! Do you know the manufacturer?

    1. Peter, I don't actually know the make of the car, but ever since I read your comment, I've been googling old cars and old hood ornaments. I think it's a Pontiac, maybe a new model for 1928 based on a similar picture of one. There was a Pontiac dealership in Shenandoah, and the owners were family friends, so it's likely a Pontiac.
